UNESCO HELP Catchment & International links
Research Status: OngoingDelegates at Nov 2005 Pacific HELP workshop Nelson |
Introduction
By participating in this international network we can both learn from other countries experiences with ICM and share our own, especially in our back yard of Australasia and the Pacific.
The Motueka ICM experience has been shared at HELP meetings in Kalmar Sweden 2002 and Gauteng South Africa 2007. We also ran the Pacific HELP symposium, co-sponsored by UNESCO and SOPAC, alongside our 2005 ICM AGM in Nelson. Future opportunities exist for twinning with international basins to share learning about ICM, eg the Nadi in Fiji, Rarotonga and Cotopaxi in Ecuador.
